Derek's career has been built across high-consequence environments: carrier aviation in the U.S. Navy, strategic advisory at McKinsey & Company, and executive and C-suite roles in public and PE-backed businesses. Each chapter reinforced the same conviction that strategy and execution cannot be separated, and that enduring outcomes demand both.

Derek's engagements concentrate on the moments where the plan and the execution have to come together quickly: turnarounds, integrations, and scaled operating challenges in environments where the cost of getting it wrong is steep.
